The Motorcycle Diary

Challenge:
Design a website that reflected the physical and psychological adventure of the trip in a diary format. The length of content and number and size of photos was different each day. At the time it was built in Dreamweaver in Design View because I didn’t know how to script HTML & CSS.

Solution:
In the hopes that this would catalog future trips I designed in a way that more trips could be added. I “repurposed” the diary graphics and rebuilt them in Photoshop. Not able (or was it not knowing how or wanting to?) to create pop-up enlargements of the photos I designed it so that each photo linked to a larger version but then you could also click through all the images instead of returning to the content pages.

Results:
The graphics have stood the test of time, but it needs to be redone to stand as a testament to the wealth of knowledge I’ve learned. I need to ride more.
