marketing integrated graphic design and web development

Champlain College Graduate Site

Challenge:
The previous website was still using Dreamweaver for updates. The site had a very limited color palette and very little photography. To invigorate the graduate program’s marketing initiative, more sophisticated materials were being developed and access to new photography was available. How can a new site be developed and brought into the Ingeniux CMS to coordinate with the current main site and the new marketing materials?

Solution:
An outside agency was brought in to provide schemas/templates to be used in the CMS. I transferred all the content from the original site into the new site and collected appropriate photography where needed. I also edited the content for call-outs as well as designed graphics to be used as promos to be cycled in and out as necessary.

Results:
The new site is a vast improvement over the old. Departments had more control of their content in the CMS and the site was much more user friendly.
