Susan Beiner

Challenge:
Develop a portfolio website that is easy enough for the user to update and be designed so that the site itself takes a backseat to her work, which can be described as unconventional, at best. The portfolio section needs to be divided up into manageable groups, for updating and for usability.

Solution:
I chose a neutral gray so that it wouldn’t influence the viewers vision of the colors. In what is now the third iteration of her portfolio I have incorporated a database to make it much more manageable for her to update or edit what is shown. Using relational databases she is able to upload all the necessary data into one table so that it is always available for her to manage. Smaller tables reflect each section of her portfolio

Results:
Susan has stuck by me through three iterations which reflect(s/ed) my growing experience as I finished my degree. She is now a tenured professor at Arizona State University and I'd like to think I had a hand in that.
